Ela se conecta ao seu notebook ou mini PC para turbinar o desempenho gr\u00e1fico, permitindo rodar jogos pesados e softwares de edi\u00e7\u00e3o de v\u00eddeo avan\u00e7ados.<p>Os tipos mais comuns de conex\u00e3o eGPU variam de acordo com a velocidade e a facilidade de uso:<\/p><p>Tipos de Conex\u00e3o<br \/>1. Thunderbolt (3, 4 e 5) \/ USB4<br \/>Esta \u00e9 a op\u00e7\u00e3o comercial mais comum e amig\u00e1vel, pois funciona no sistema plug-and-play. <br \/>Como funciona: Usa um \u00fanico cabo de alta velocidade para enviar os dados e, na maioria das vezes, tamb\u00e9m carregar a bateria do notebook. <br \/>Vantagens: Muito f\u00e1cil de plugar\/desconectar; n\u00e3o exige desmontar o computador. <br \/>Desvantagens: Como a porta tem limite de banda, h\u00e1 uma perda de desempenho da placa de v\u00eddeo (cerca de 15% a 30%) se comparada a ela conectada diretamente a uma placa-m\u00e3e de desktop.<\/p><p>2. Oculink<br \/>Uma conex\u00e3o direta que vem ganhando muita popularidade em mini PCs e consoles port\u00e1teis. <br \/>Como funciona: Usa um cabo PCI Express externo para se conectar \u00e0 porta M.2 do computador. <br \/>Vantagens: Entrega uma performance muito superior \u00e0 do Thunderbolt com perda de desempenho quase impercept\u00edvel, pois se comunica diretamente com as pistas PCIe do processador.<br \/>Desvantagens: Normalmente requer que voc\u00ea passe um cabo para dentro do gabinete do computador, o que prejudica a est\u00e9tica e a portabilidade.<\/p><p>3. Slot M.2 \/ NVMe<br \/>A solu\u00e7\u00e3o favorita para entusiastas que procuram construir eGPUs de baixo custo. Como funciona: Voc\u00ea utiliza um adaptador para conectar a eGPU diretamente no slot M.2 da placa-m\u00e3e do notebook (o mesmo slot onde ficam os SSDs r\u00e1pidos).<br \/>Vantagens: O custo do adaptador \u00e9 menor.<br \/>Desvantagens: Exige que voc\u00ea mantenha o notebook aberto ou sem a tampa traseira e perca o uso daquele slot de armazenamento.<\/p><p>\u00a0<\/p><p>Fazer um acoplamento de eGPU via slot M.2 &#8220;NVMe&#8221; parece coisa de cientista maluco, mas aqui para quem acompanha o blog e canal aarProTech ja sabe como levo a s\u00e9rio a engenharia de hardware e processos! Nesta jornada de laborat\u00f3rio, eu te convido a olhar os bastidores do meu primeiro teste de conceito (PoC) de placa de v\u00eddeo externa no meu Mini-PC.<\/p><\/div><p>Utilizando a base computacional do Morefine M600 \u2014 equipado com o monstruoso processador AMD Ryzen 9 6900HX e os potentes gr\u00e1ficos integrados Radeon 680M RDNA2 \u2014 instalei um adaptador riser ADT-Link F43SG direto no barramento PCIe 4.0 x4. Para isolar vari\u00e1veis el\u00e9tricas e validar a estabilidade de integridade de sinal antes de espetar um hardware caro, a cobaia escolhida foi uma velha de guerra: a Nvidia GTX 1050 3GB Low Profile da Gigabyte, alimentada por uma fonte Mymax de 500W.<\/p><p>O resultado dessa brincadeira? Um verdadeiro paradoxo de hardware que provou que o sil\u00edcio moderno e otimizado da nossa iGPU integrada consegue, sim, superar a for\u00e7a bruta de placas discretas mais antigas devido \u00e0s limita\u00e7\u00f5es de barramento e instru\u00e7\u00f5es por ciclo. Passamos o setup pelo fogo cruzado das distribui\u00e7\u00f5es Linux Ubuntu MATE 24.04.4 LTS e openSUSE Tumbleweed. Apesar do v\u00eddeo ser uma s\u00edntese, foram <strong>v\u00e1rios testes completos gravados<\/strong> variando entre modelos sint\u00e9ticos, web e jogos reais (GLMark2, FurMark, Xonotic, SuperTux Kart e Zombie Army 4 via Vulkan). Esses testes estar\u00e3o contemplados nessa primeira parte da jornada, mas n\u00e3o ficou por ai&#8230; Fui bem al\u00e9m e fiz v\u00e1rios testes al\u00e9m de usar por um per\u00edodo apps que uso diariamente para ver o b\u00e1sico de funcionamento. Tudo isso para validar a bancada antes do pr\u00f3ximo upgrade insano, dentro da minha realidade nesse momento, para a massiva RX 9060 XT.
